Civil Discourse: How Do We Do It?

August 17, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

“I hope we can again rely on humility, on our need to cooperate, on our dependence on each other to learn how to trust each other again, and, by so doing, better serve the people who elected us.”
– Senator John McCain, July 25, 2017

What does it take to build trust so that we can travel together the path of cooperation? Join us to hear from esteemed community leaders and engage in thoughtful discussion.  We will look at examples of effective political conversation, identify major environmental issues facing Marin County, and examine key ideas, attitudes, and skills that allow us not only to “get along,” but also to forge creative, sustainable solutions.
