Environmental Forum of Marin – Fall 2015
August 25, 2015 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Environmental Forum of Marin (EFM) promotes a sustainable world by providing education for action. Green Sangha members have found EFM programs informative and motivating, a great help for awakened activism.
The Master Class, the flagship program of EFM, offers a compelling series of classroom and field trip sessions led by notable experts in their fields. A small group (30 people max.) comes together to explore, study, and engage with critical issues of climate, habitat, and natural ecosystems.
A special feature of the Master Class is advocacy training with communication expert Kraemer Winslow. In addition, each student selects an exploratory project of special interest to complete. Some of these projects have inspired lasting change, leading to outcomes such as the formation of MALT, the reduction of single-use plastic waste in restaurants, the founding of Sustainable San Rafael, and the Marin Open Garden Project.
Master Class 42 beginning in August 2015 will consist of nine full days of classes, field trips, and advocacy training empowering advocates for the natural world.
