Retreat into action! We’re putting our hearts and our hands to work this weekend:

1. Phone bank for the bag ban, 10 am to noon. Miriam Gordon, California Director of Clean Water Action, will be our team leader. Miriam has been an activist for years, and helped when we were lobbying for bag and foam foodware ordinances in Marin County. Working directly with Miriam is a rare and valuable opportunity.

Ogawa Plaza, Suite 200 | Oakland, CA 94612.  It’s the yellow Westlake building on Frank Ogawa Plaza.  BART’s 12th St. station leads right up to this City Center location. Since it’s Sunday, Miriam will have to let you into the office building. 2. Inner & Outer Restoration at Green Gulch, noon to 6 pm.  This is our seasonal day of Watershed Restoration with Sukey Parmelee and other mindful earth stewards. Lunch is at noon, so if you wish to do phone-calling in the morning, you can still join the team when we gather at 1 pm for orientation and job selection.  Full information is here.
