A mini-retreat for eco-leaders in Contra Costa County
at the home of Eric & Marsha Golangco in Alamo

Come together with fellow earth stewards who are dedicated to a sustainable Contra Costa County.  Following the model of our monthly retreats in Marin and the East Bay, we will open with gentle yoga (including techniques from Hanna Somatics and the Chinese facial massage), enjoy a simple meditation for compassion, and discuss best practices on topics identified in advance by participants.

We will close with a potluck lunch.  Please bring a small offering, with the earth in mind (no plastic, we hope!).  We are looking forward to strengthening the community of environmental leaders –- lifting our spirits and enhancing our collective work.

Donations will be requested, to support the work of Green Sangha, bringing mindfulness to the environmental movement.

• Is it enough to work on incremental changes within our locales, or do we need to connect more directly with state or federal policies?
• How do we create a climate of peace and civil discourse at public hearings on controversial issues?
