East Bay retreat

May 15, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Day 7Planting seeds of wholeness.  Join us for three hours of stretching, relaxing, meditation, and reflection. Green Sangha retreats are our favorite time to come together for inner peace and fellowship. We are a diverse group of earth stewards and activists, bonded by our common love of the planet and community. Members take turns leading different portions of the meeting, which always includes a practice discussion — reflecting on one or more of the Green Sangha principles of activism and how we are taking mindful action in our lives.

Please bring a small potluck item to share at the end of the meeting. We aim for earth-friendly foods and non-plastic wraps. Dana (gifts of generosity) requested, to support our program of awakened action.

From our Principles of Activism
It may seem challenging to feel equanimity and love when habitats are being destroyed, children are poisoned by toxic chemicals, and the air we breathe is polluted with the waste products of a petroleum-based economy.  Yet it is vital that we cultivate calm and compassionate responses to these harms.  Read more.
